D.    Avon Public Schools District Improvement Plan updated Objectives & Action Steps.*

E.    Newly mandated breakfast program at AMHS will be available to students on the first day of school.

F.    Massachusetts was chosen as one of 10 states to participate in Phase 2 of the Race to the Top program.  This announcement was made on Aug. 24, 2010 by Arne Duncan, United States Secretary of Education.  The superintendent will attend meetings which will provide the school district with information about the education reform efforts.*

G.    The Avon Coalition for Every Student has produced its first ACES newsletter.*

H.    The Avon Coalition for Every Student, the Avon Board of Health, and the Avon Police Department are conducting an Avon Medication Take-Back Day on 09/25/10.*

I.      As a result of our School to Careers Partnership our students benefited from many programs and experiences this summer.*

J.     Governor Patrick announces public school funding from the Education Jobs Fund.*
