V.        INFORMATION:  

A.    The Race to the Top (RTTT) contract form and application has been submitted to Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) by the October 22, 2010 deadline.*

 

B.    Attached is the Avon Public Schools Support Personnel Agreement that was ratified by the school committee at their meeting on October 4, 2010.  It is requested that the Chairman of the school committee sign the contract as a result of the October 4th vote.*

 

VI.      FINANCIAL:      

None at this time

 

VII.     ACTION ITEMS:

A.    A vote to approve the Avon Public Schools Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan.*

 

SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATION:  Vote as requested

 

B.    A vote to create a school committee subcommittee for the purpose of addressing the request by the Board of Selectmen to develop a 5 year plan.

 

SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATION:  Vote as requested

 

 

C.    A request that the chairman of the school committee sign the School Health Unit Application form permitting unlicensed school personnel to administer epinephrine in a life threatening situation.*

 

SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATION:  Vote as requested
