MRSA infections
There
has been a lot of coverage in the news lately regarding the
occurrence of MRSA infections
(a Staph
bacterium that has become resistant to many antibiotics) in schools
scattered throughout the state and nation. MRSA has been a
significant problem in hospitals and long term care facilities for
several years, and it is becoming more common, lately, in community
settings, such as schools.
