Attention freshmen and sophomores: Are you interested in running for office? Mrs. Pyne is now accepting candidates for freshman and sophomore class executive board.  E-board members will attend Student Council meetings and work closely with their advisers to help make decisions about activities and fundraisers for their class. Nomination forms can be found on the Student Council bulletin board across from Mrs. Pyne's room, and are due Thursday, 9/13.

Middle School Student Council

On Sept. 18th at 2:10 come and sign up for Middle School Student Council in Ms. Conrad's room, plus sign the sheet at the Ice Cream Social on Sept. 13thin the Cafeteria. You need to attend the Sept. 18th meeting to get the details and the form to fill out to be a member. See you on the 18th.

Washington DC Trip

If you haven't signed up for the 7th and 8th grade trip yet, there's a meeting on Sept. 25th at 7 PM in school cafeteria with another incentive to save some money on the cost of the trip. We have 47 signed up so far and there's plenty of room for more. This is the last sign up meeting to get the information you need to know for the trip. See Ms. Conrad for any questions

Boosters - just as a reminder, please remember to bring in your Booster Membership Forms.  Please drop them at the office.  The next Booster Meeting is tonight at 6pm at the AMHS Library.

Are you tired of hearing the same voices on announcements? Do you think you have what it takes to make people sit up and listen? Mrs. Pyne is now accepting applications for announcement readers. See her by Friday afternoon if you are interested.

Middle school STEM club begins this Friday after school in Mrs. McGaffigan's room.  Be sure to sign up at the ice cream social.

Attention grades 9-12.  Are you looking for a different extracurricular activity that will make a difference in your life?  Consider Academic Decathlon.  Learn more and sign up at the ice cream social or contact Mrs. McGaffigan for more information.  Our first meeting will take place next Thursday in Mrs. McGaffigan's room.

Interact will have its first meeting Thursday during lunch in room 235.

Students participating in Cross Country that haven't been impact tested, please meet in front of the nurses office immediately after school.

The girls soccer team tied Old Colony yesterday 1-1. Meghan Mahoney scored the lone goal for the panthers. Kayla Von Ehrenkrook and Lydia Meressi played outstanding for Avon.

Varsity volleyball is at 2:35 today and there is no JV volleyball practice

Reminder – All emergency and other forms handed out on the first day of school are due as soon as possible.  Please return the forms to the office.
