Morning Announcements 4/26/2023

During the months of March and April Noelani Milord and Emma MacDonald will be holding a drive that will be collecting NEW & UNUSED items like chapstick, blankets, unscented lotion, inspirational bracelets, coloring/crossword/word search books, colored pencils/crayons, and warm clothing to be put into care packages for breast cancer patients in treatment. A donation box will be in the lobby for students and faculty who would like to support the patients of South Shore Health Foundation. This drive is a service project for the National Honor Society.

  • Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Ms. Messina and Ms. Berardi.
  • Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.

HIGH SCHOOL

 Are you thinking of bringing a guest to prom? Underclassman or out of school? If so, pick up your guest permission slip in the front office or with Ms. Francisco in room 120, Prom is May 12th.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

The MS Student Council will meet this Friday, 4/28, with Ms. Conrad after school.

ATHLETICS

  • The Avon girls played all around solid defense behind the excellent pitching performance of Dhalia Parent. They also had some timely hitting but fell just a bit short losing to Atlantis Charter 7 to 5. The girls next game is this Thursday at Crawley field at 3:30 versus West Bridgewater.
  • Avon varsity baseball lost to Atlantis Charter. Avon had good hits from James Ierardi, Jason MaGuire, and Jordan Medeiros. Solid pitching from Zach Mayo and Logan Costa. Avon’s next game is against West Bridgewater on Thursday.
  • Softball Practice 2:30-4:30, bus leaves at 2:20
  • Baseball Practice 2:30-4:30

MAIN OFFICE

  • All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  • Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus.
  • Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
