ATHLETICS

Boys Soccer practice 2:30-4:00 at Butler

Girls Soccer practice 2:30-4:00 at Butler (cancelled)

Cross Country Practice 2:30-4:00 bus leaves at 2:15

Football Practice 2:30-5:00 bus leaves at 2:15

Jv Volleyball Home Game Wednesday, September 21st vs Westport at 3:30

Varsity volleyball Home Game Wednesday, September 21st vs Westport at 5:00

The Avon Girls Soccer team lost to Holbrook 6 to 2. Hanelie Cadet had a goal and an assist while Kate Austrino had the other goal from an assist by Dahlia Parent. Mica Gomes had 17 saves in the loss. 

Boys soccer lost a close game to Holbrook 2-0. Captain Jason Maguire had another impressive game in goal shutting out Holbrook in the second half. Freshman Gabe Souza and junior Ibukunoluwa (IBK) Akinwunmi also had impressive performance on defense.--

CIVIL WAR/WASHINGTON DC TRIP – APRIL 2023

Calling all students in grades 9-12! April vacation, 2023 the high school is planning an American Civil War trip to the Washington, DC area. Bring your parent/guardian to our in-person enrollment session being held in room 246 on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at 6:00 pm to learn more and sign up. We are very excited for this adventure and will have an AWESOME time! See Mrs. Whitworth in rm 246 if you have any questions prior to the meeting.

PICTURE DAY

This Friday, September 23 is picture day.  ALL students must have their picture taken in order to receive an id badge.

STEM CLUB

STEM Club is meeting today after school in Room 121.  All middle school students are welcome to join. Come and learn more about the world around you through cool STEM projects like rockets, robots, weather stations and more.  See Mr. Lochrie or Mr. Hutchison for more details.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL

This Friday Middle School Student Council forms are due.  We will meet this Friday after school to discuss upcoming events.

Mrs. Pyne is now accepting candidates for Student Council representatives in grades 9-12.  Nomination forms can be found on the Student Council bulletin board across from the library, and are due Wednesday, 9/28. Questions? See Mrs. Pyne.
