Health Services

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Avon Public Schools’ Health Service Department to provide comprehensive school health services to the Avon School Community. The Avon Public Schools nurses work toward the promotion and continued improvement of school health services in order to enhance the educational process for all students.

Massachusetts now offers free or low cost health insurance to children and students ages 19 and under. For applications, see your school nurse.

Governor Deval Patrick signed the booster bill into law on April 11.

"A Child must be healthy to learn and a child must learn to be healthy".
