Morning Announcements 1/27/2023

ACES is currently hiring a Youth Prevention Leader to work alongside the  coordinator and other community leaders for $15 an hour. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Isidor or email aces.avon@gmail.com for an application. A resume is necessary.

Drama Club presents "Student Shorts: Year 8" at 7pm this Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $5 for staff and students. Thank you for supporting the Drama Club. We'll see you at the show!

  • Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Miss. Messina and Miss. Berardi.
  • Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.

The High School Student Council will meet today at 2:30pm in the library. All high school students are welcome to join us (and all StuCo members are required to attend

MAIN OFFICE

  • All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  • Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus

ATHLETICS

  • Boys MS Basketball Game at Westport, Friday, January 27th at 3:30 Bus leaves at 2:15
  • Boys JV Basketball Game at Westport, Friday, January 27th at 5:00 Bus leaves at 2:15
  • Boys Varsity Basketball Game at Westport, Friday, January 27th at 6:30 Bus leaves at 2:15
  • Girls Varsity Basketball Game Vs Westport, Friday, January 27th at 3:30 

Fitness Center (weight room) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

And lastly A big congratulation to Jessica Saluwu for winning a Gold Key Award for this year's Massachusetts Scholastic Art Awards for her painting titled "To Be Presentable" Great work!
