High School: 

Early College applications are due today. See Mrs. Hill if you have any questions. 

Attention sophomores and juniors: Are you interested in running for office? Mrs. Pyne is now accepting candidates for next year's class officers. Officers will work closely with their advisors to help make decisions about activities and fundraisers for their class. Nomination forms have been emailed and are due April 24.

After School Homework Club:

High School:  Students can go to Room 235 and work with Mr. Clements or Mr. Thoreson, They will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30

Middle School:  Students can work with Ms. Martell in Room 131 on Mondays and Wednesdays and with Ms.Tyler in Room 122 on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30.  stop by and get some work done.

Detention will be held in room : NO detention today

Sports:

  • The Avon varsity softball team fell behind early but roared back with 5 runs of their own in the top of the 5th. Soraya Sykes had the key hit in the 2nd inning to spark the rally. The offense was led by Mica Gomez who had 3 hits in the game and Savannah Beers who reached base twice. Riley Patterson was outstanding at shortstop and the combined pitching efforts of Nora Hart, Tara O'Hea and Kiley Mallett kept the girls in the game. All the girls  played well, however, it was not enough to beat a good Holbrook team.
  • The Avon Baseball team lost a hard fought game to Holbrook 3 to 2. Luke Burns and Zach Mayo each pitched well in the loss combining for 11 strikeouts. Avon is now 2-2. 
  • JV Softball Away game At Westport, today, April 12th at 3:30, bus leaves at 2:15
  • JV Baseball Home Game Vs Westport, today, April 12th at 3:30, bus leaves at 2:15
  • JV Softball Game Cancelled - No practice 

AMHS Spring Fundraiser, show Mom some love for Mother's Day or say Happy Spring to someone with a gift of Tulips, 1 bunch (10 stems) $8, 2 bunches, $15, order between April 8th & April 29th.Pick up will be  on Friday, May 10 in AMHS lobby between 2:15 - 3PM, forms can be picked up & dropped off in the Main office with cash or check or scan the QR code on the flyer.
