Athletics:

Middle School Boys Practice 2:30-3:30 Tuesday, December 14th

Girls Varsity Practice 3:30-5:00 Tuesday, December 14th

Cheer practice 5:00- 6:30 Tuesday, December 14th

Boys Varsity and Boys JV practice 6:30-8:00 Tuesday, December 14th

The boys JV team lost a hard fought game vs Blue Hills 36-46.  They missed a key shot to tie the game late in the 4th Qt.  Jordan Mediros finished the night with 10 points and Mike Morias was the second leading scorer with 6 points.  

The Boys Varsity team lost to Blue Hills 47-69.  Andre Cordero had his first double double of the season 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Corey Mckoy had 14 points in his Avon High Debut.  Varsity looks to bounce back on Friday vs the Wareham Vikings.

Hanalie Cadet led the Panthers with 8 points in the loss at Blue Hills. Kylie Mallet and Dahlia Parent had great defensive games for Avon.

Guidance:

Any seniors, who have not yet made an appointment with Mr. O'Donnell to discuss college, please do so as soon as possible. Deadlines for applications start January 1st. To make an appointment, you can either see Mr. O'Donnell directly in Room 226 or Ms. Cartwright in the Main Office.

All seniors applying regular decision need to make sure they send in their recommendation form and transcript request form at least two weeks before their first application deadline. Regular decision deadlines start January 1st, so please see Mr. O'Donnell as soon as possible if you need help."

Bridgewater State University is holding SAT Preparation Classes during the spring. Any junior who is interested can see Mr. O'Donnell for more information.

Interact Club:

The Interact club is hosting a food drive this week Wednesday through Friday. Bring in dry and canned non-perishable goods to have a chance to win a Chipotle gift card in The Battle of the Grades. For extra information refer to the Interact club board outside Mr.Lochrie’s classroom on the third floor.

Student Council:

High School Student Council will meet at 2:25pm on Friday in the library. All high school students are welcome to join us (and all StuCo members are required to attend)!

Notifications:

Park & Rec will have the Civic Center open for the half day. The Civic Center will be open from 11:15 to 2:15, masks will be required.
