The Boys Jv Basketball team Lost to Hull 44-32.  Playing well for the Panthers were Josiah Guerrier with 10 points and 12 Rebounds and Jordan Medeiros with 11 points.

The new date for our Give Kids a Smile Game is next Monday, February 14 sponsored by AMHS Cheer. Please support the cause by coming to watch our Avon Panthers Boys basketball teams take on the West Bridgewater Wildcats! Wear purple and donate a kid's toothbrush, toothpaste, new markers, crayons, or coloring book! If you can't make it to the game and would like to participate, find a cheer representative to give your donation. Thank you to our community members who have already supported this cause!

The Athletics Department is happy to announce that due to the decreased number of COVID cases, we are able to allow students and others to attend games!   So come and support our panthers! Just a reminder that all individuals that enter Avon Middle High School are required to wear a mask.

Black History Month:

Today we honor Richard Allen who was born in servitude in 1760 in Philadelphia.  Allen is considered the founder of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in America.   That church, now with a membership of more than 2.5 million people and 6,000 churches, was the country’s first independent black denomination.  His home and Bethel AME were stops on the Underground Railroad.  Recognizing that former slaves and freedmen needed education, he opened a day school for black children and a night school for adults.
