Jv Boys and Varsity Boys Basketball Practice Wednesday, January 12th 4:30-5:30
The Avon Girls basketball team lost to Wareham 40 to 30. Kylie Mallett led the way with 10 points while Hanelie Cadet and Uwa Idada chipped in with 6 points a piece. Emma MacDonald had a great all-around game for the Panthers.
The Boys Varsity Team lost to Wareham 68-40. The Panthers got into foul trouble early and had a tough time getting back into the game. Corey McKoy led all scores with 17 points, his highest of the season and Captain Andre Cordero had 14 points.
The Boys Jv team lost to Wareham on Tuesday night. The Panthers came out strong in the first half, but the Vikings bench was too deep for the Panthers to handle. Playing well for the Panthers was Lazarus Fontes with 8 points and Jordan Medeiros with 10 points.
Guidance:
UMASS Dartmouth has 5 spots reserved for AMHS student seniors at their upcoming UMass Honors Experience on January 21st. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about being an Honors Student at UMASS Dartmouth. Please see Mr. O'Donnell if you are interested.
Drama Club:
Today's rehearsal has been canceled. Please use the time to work on your lines.
STEM Club:
Due to the half a day today, STEM Club will meet tomorrow in room 300 at 2:25 pm. Please see Mr. Lochrie with any questions.
Student Council:
The Middle School Student Council will meet this Friday after school with Ms. Conrad in Room 130.
Notifications:
The Civic Center will be open for the half day on today from 11:15am until 2:15pm and masks will be required.
