Athletics

The Boys Varsity win picked up their first win of the season over Atlantis Charter 63-32.  The Panthers stifling defense was too much for the Tritons to handle, creating 13 Turnovers.  Anthony Pettijohn had a career high 21 points, Nathan Maguire had 17 points and Andre Cordero had 15 points.

The Jv Boys Basketball team won their first game of the year vs Atlantis Charter 59-27.  The Panthers full court press shut down the Tritons offense.  Playing well for the Panthers was Jordan Medeiros with 8 points and making his JV Debut Thomas Edwards had 7 points. 

The Avon Girls Basketball Team beat Atlantis Charter 46 to 25. Leading the Panthers were Kylie Mallett with18 points and Hanelie Cadet with 17 points while Dahlia Parent had a great defensive game for Avon. 

High School Student Council:

High School Student Council will meet at 2:25pm on Friday in the library. All high school students are welcome to join us (and all StuCo members are required to attend)!

Guidance:

UMASS Dartmouth has 5 spots reserved for AMHS student seniors at their upcoming UMass Honors Experience on January 21st. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about being an Honors Student at UMASS Dartmouth. Please see Mr. O'Donnell if you are interested.

Notifications:

Students if you have detentions to make up, the time that you complete this week will count as double. Also, when at detention you will get a chance to draw and possibly get more time taken off.
