Varsity Softball Game At Norfolk Aggie Monday, May 16th at 3:30 bus leaves at 2:15

The Avon girls jumped out to an early nine to nothing lead after two innings and never looked back en route to their second win of the season. The offense was led by Jessica Salawu and Hanelie Cadet each having a bases clearing triple and Kylie Mallett chipped in with 3 hits. In the field the girls played error free defense and were led by the outstanding pitching of Emma MacDonald. The girls next game is today at Norfolk Aggie. Final score:  Avon 20  and  SSCA  3

Ryan Luddy pitched 4 innings, striking out 10, to lead Avon to a 15-0 win against Randolph. Senior Nate Maguire was 2-2 with a triple, double, and three runs scored. Mike Morais and Will Torres contributed with two hits apiece. Avon plays Westport on Tuesday.

Reminder - There will be a carpentry presentation today at 9:30. 

On May 24th, there will be a field trip to Massasoit Community College for their Leaders on the Rise Program. The program is designed to introduce students to career and leadership experiences by women in business. We have 15 spots designated for sophomore & junior female students on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If you are interested, please fill out a permission slip, as soon as possible, with Mrs. Cartwright in the main office.  Per Massasoit Community College Rules, all attendees must be vaccinated and proof of vaccination. 

Notifications:  

Ms. Conrad is looking for volunteers to help decorate for the Middle School Semi-Formal on May 20th afterschool from 2:05 - 3:30/4. This will count for community service. Please either reach out to Mr. O'Donnell or Ms. Conrad if you are interested.

There will be an important final meeting with Ms. Conrad for the parents and students attending the Washington DC Trip in June. The meeting is Wednesday  May 18th at 6 PM in the school cafeteria. Please return all forms that evening.

High School Students - Butler Elementary School is looking for volunteers for their Field Day on June 16th. Students will receive community hours for their participation. Please let Mr. O'Donnell or Ms. Cartwright know if you are interested.

High School Students - NJHS will be holding a park clean up for students to help clean up the Industrial Park on May 21st from 10 AM - 12 PM. Students will meet at AMHS, then walk to the park. This will count as community service for all grades. Please reach out to either Mr. O'Donnell or Ms. Wagner if you are interested.
