During yesterday's game, the Avon girls softball team fell behind early to the South Shore girls. Trailing 15 to 4 going into the bottom of the 4th the Avon bats came to life. The Avon girls mustered 21 hits in the game, led by 3 hits each from Jessica Salawu, Emma MacDonald and Agatha DaSilva. However, the girl's come-back fell just short, stranding the tying run at third on a nice defensive play by the South Shore second baseman. Final score: South Shore 19 Avon 18. Today the girls have an away game at Bishop Connolly. Start time is 3:30.

The MassHire Greater Brockton Workforce Board is excited to announce that as a Connecting Activities partner, AMHS has been selected to award to a high school senior the Connecting Activities 2022 Scholarship of $2022 dollars. Please complete the application on the Senior Google Classroom by May 6th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. O'Donnell.

Student Council:

Attention sophomores and juniors: Are you interested in running for office? Mrs. Pyne is now accepting candidates for next year's class officers. Officers will work closely with their advisors to help make decisions about activities and fundraisers for their class. Nomination forms can be found on the Student Council bulletin board across from Mrs. Pyne's room, and are due next Friday, 5/5.

Ms. Conrad is looking for volunteers to help decorate for the Middle School Semi-Formal on May 20th afterschool from 2:05 - 3:30/4. This will count for community service. Please either reach out to Mr. O'Donnell or Ms. Conrad if you are interested.
