National Hispanic Heritage Month

Today we honor Roberto Clemente, he was the first Hispanic to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame after his death in 1973. Mr. Clemente was a right fielder who played 18 seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1955-1972.

Athletics:

The boys soccer team played Bishop Connolly yesterday to a loss. The end score was 13-0. Playing particularly well was Harly Beauzile. The Panthers next game is Tuesday, October 5, against West Bridgewater

For the girls soccer game yesterday, Emma MacDonald scored a hat trick in the 8 to 3 loss to Bishop Connolly.

Student Council:

High School Student Council will meet at 2:25pm today in Mrs. Pyne's room (please note the time change). All high school students are welcome to join us (and all class officers and e-board members are required to attend)!

Attention freshmen and sophomores: Are you interested in running for office? Mrs. Pyne is now accepting candidates for freshman and sophomore class executive board. E-board members will attend Student Council meetings and work closely with their advisers to help make decisions about activities and fundraisers for their class. Nomination forms have been emailed to you and are due by Friday, October 1.

National Honor Society:

National Honor Society Applications are due Monday, October 4th. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Howe. 

Hip Hop Club:

Hip-Hop will meet today in the auditorium at 2:25!  See you there!

Notifications:

For any student planning to take the SAT on November 6th, the registration deadline is October 8th. There are currently seats available at local schools in the area. This will be one of the last opportunities to take the SAT before the regular decision deadline. Please see Mr. O'Donnell or Ms. Cartwright if you need a fee waiver.

If you are a Senior who is planning on applying either Early Action or Early Decision, please make an appointment with Mr. O'Donnell as soon as possible, if you have not done so already.

Jordan's Furniture is hosting two Enchanted Village Job Fairs in the month of October. If you are over sixteen and looking for work, please see Mr. O'Donnell for more details. 

MBTA Charlie Cards: 

The MBTA Student Reduced Fare Charlie Cards are available for students in the main office. 

Reminder:  Emergency forms are due.  If you have them, please drop them off at the office.
