Daily Announcements October 26, 2021

Athletics:

The Avon Girls Soccer team lost 6 to 3 to Upper Cape Tech. Kate Austrino had 2 goals and an assist while Emma MacDonald had a goal and 2 assists. Brynn Gaynor had a great game for the Panthers as well. 

The boys soccer team played Upper Cape yesterday to a loss. The final score was 7-0. Playing well for the Panthers was Harly Beauzile. The Panthers next game is tomorrow against Bristol Aggie.

Guidance:

All seniors applying early action must give their completed transcript request to Ms. Cartwright in the Main Office as soon as possible if you have not done so already. Forms can be picked up in the Main Office as well

If you are a senior who is planning on applying either Early Action or Early Decision, please make an appointment with Mr. O'Donnell as soon as possible, if you have not done so already.

Student Council:

High School Student Council will meet at 2:25pm on Friday in the library. All high school students are welcome to join us (and all class officers and e-board members are required to attend)!

Boosters have an upcoming fundraiser we want to share with you:

Savers Fundraiser - We are collecting clothes, household textiles, small household goods, home decorative items, toys, games and small electronics. Drop off will be at the front of the school on Saturday, November 6th from 9am to 12pm. Any questions please email amhsboosters@gmail.com.

The Savers Fundraiser is looking for volunteers for their drop-off event on November 6th from 9 am to 12:30 pm at the Middle-High School. Any students looking to complete community service can see Mr. O'Donnell for more details.

Spirit Week:

Thanks to everyone who participated in Class Colors Day. At the end of the day yesterday, the sophomores were off to an early lead with 78% participation in Pajama Day! The freshmen were in second place and the juniors were in third. If you were late today, remember to check in with Mrs. Pyne to get credit for participating. Tomorrow is Red Ribbon Day. Wear your ACES shirt to earn points for your class!  

ACES:

This week is the National Red Ribbon Week. Students will receive a packet during lunch to help each person participate. A raffle with occur and the winners will be drawn on Friday for anyone who wears a red ribbon throughout the week.
