ACES is having a hybrid community meeting today at Avon Town Hall about prevention and at 2:15. All are welcome to join. Any student who attends will get community services from ACES. If interested email eisidor@avon-ma.gov for a zoom link 

After School Homework Club:

High School: students can go to room 235 and work with Mr. Clements or Mr. Thoreson. they will be available Mon, Tue, and Thurs from 2:30 -3:30

Middle School: Students can go to room 122 with Ms. Tyler and Ms. Martell. They will be available Mon, Tue and Thurs from 2:25-3:25pm.  Stop by and get some work done.

Stem Club:

STEM Club will be meeting today Thursday 1/11/2024.

Music:

Interested in making music after school? Join the Hip Cats Band! We will be rehearsing 1 or 2 times a week, and performing in all school concerts as well as in the fall musical. Talk to Mr. Ellis and Ms. Neprud, or scan the QR code on the Hip Cats Posters to sign up.

Sports:

The Girls Varsity Basketball team lost a tough game to Holbrook by a score of 45-29.  Playing strong defense for the Panthers was Uwa Idada, and carrying the offensive load with three 3's was Hanelie Cadet.

Avon Varsity Boys protected home court against Holbrook beating the Bulldogs 72-70 in overtime. Holbrook came out and took an early 8-0 lead, but the Panthers fought back and took the lead in the third. The Panthers won at the buzzer with 2.2 left on the clock. Playing well for the Panthers was Kevin Miranda Jr. With 21 points and 8 assist. Josiah Guerrier had 20 points and 16 rebounds. 

The Boys JV team lost a close one to Holbrook 48-46. Playing well for the Panthers was Jayvion Rosario with 13 points and Brandon Charles who had 10 points. 

The Boys Middle School team lost to Holbrook on Wednesday night. The Panthers came out strong on offense, but couldn’t find the range from three in the second half. Playing well for the Panthers was Xavier Bell who had 14 points and Thomas Ierardi who had 10 points

  • Girls Basketball Practice 5:00-6:30

Again, All students are encouraged to check out the Lost and Found (located at the elevator entrance by the front office.) Be advised that any items still left in Lost and Found will be either thrown away or donated.
