After School Homework Club:

High School: students can go to room 235 and work with Mr. Clements or Mr. Thoreson. they will be available Mon, Tue, and Thurs from 2:30 -3:30

Middle School: Students can go to room 122 with Ms. Tyler and Ms. Martell. They will be available Mon, Tue and Thurs from 2:25-3:25pm.  Stop by and get some work done.

ACES will meet next week on the 23rd.

Art:

Please stop by the Celebrate Black History table to participate in a  community art club project on Monday and Tuesday during lunch.

Attention all book lovers! The Interact Club is holding a book drive from now through January 31st.  We are collecting new or like new books geared towards school age children, especially grades 6-12.  Drop your books into the collection box in the main lobby and then see Mr. Lochrie for an entry into the raffle for a McDonalds gift certificate.

Sports:

The Girls Varsity Basketball lost to the Wareham Vikings, 61-32.  Hanelie Cadet was Avon's strongest player with 21 Points, 3 Assists, and 3 Blocks.

The Boys Varsity Basketball team qualified for the state tournament in their overtime win versus Upper Cape 62-61.  Josiah Guerrier and Thomas Edwards both had 14 points.  The Panthers remain undefeated at 10-0!

The Boys Jv Basketball team lost a close one to Upper Cape 44-46.  The Panthers could not complete the comeback, but they put on a great show in the final minutes.  Douglas Ateku had 14 points.
