Morning Announcements 1/10/2023

ACES is currently hiring a Youth Prevention Leader to work alongside with the coordinator and other community leaders for $15 an hour. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Isidor or email aces.avon@gmail.com for an application. A resume is necessary.

AMHS Boosters is holding a fundraiser with the Avon House of Pizza, on Wednesday, January 11th, stop by AHOP for lunch or dinner, mention Boosters and they will donate a portion of your order to the Avon Middle High School Boosters.

Just a reminder tomorrow is a half day

MAIN OFFICE

  • All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  • Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus

ATHLETICS

There will be a brief 15-minute meeting, in room 234, this afternoon for all students interested in playing softball during the upcoming spring season.

  • The middle school boys’ basketball team lost to Calvary Chapel yesterday in a tough battle 38 to 42. The Panthers started off having offensive trouble in the first half but came out strong in the second half and battled back to make it a close game. Leading the second half charge was Xavier Bell who had 27 points
  • Girls Varsity Practice 2:30-4:00
  • Boys Varsity and JV Practice 4:00-5:30
  • Cheer Practice 5:30-7:00

Fitness Center (Gym) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
