Morning Announcements 1/19/2023

ACES is currently hiring a Youth Prevention Leader to work alongside with the coordinator and other community leaders for $15 an hour. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Isidor or email aces.avon@gmail.com for an application. A resume is necessary.

MAIN OFFICE

  • All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the
  • packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  • Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus

ATHLETICS

  • The Avon Girls’ Basketball team lost to West Bridgewater 45 to 18. Hanelie Cadet had 7 points while Emma Macdonald and Kylie Mallett played well for the Panthers. Avon is now 3-3
  • The Boys Varsity Team loss to West Bridgewater in their league opener 50-37. Despite their great defensive effort, the Panthers could not maintain their offensive momentum. Leading the Panthers was Kenzel Jean-Michel with 16 points 9 rebounds 3 blocks and 5 steals
  • The Boys JV team loss to West Bridgewater 64-33.  The Panthers struggled on defense keeping the Wildcats out of the paint.  Playing well for the Panthers Sophomore Guard Travis Guillaume had 9 points and Sophomore Guard Jason Maguire had 8 points
  • The middle school boys’ basketball team lost to West Bridgewater 68 to 36. The Panthers were unable to get their offense going in the first half but continued to show heart by battling in the second half. Playing well for the panthers was Jaylen Pontes and Jayden Leguizamon-Nunez
  • Girls Varsity Practice 2:30-4:00
  • Boys JV and Boys Varsity 4:00-5:30
  • Cheer Practice 5:30-7:00

Fitness Center (weight room) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
