Morning Announcements 2/13/2023

Today, Monday February 13th, is the last day you can buy your special someone carnations for just two dollars each. On sale during your lunch period! The carnations will be delivered to your someone special on Valentine’s Day!

  • Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Ms. Messina and Ms. Berardi.
  • Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.

Attention Plunging Panthers: The Polar Plunge has been POSTPONED to Saturday, February 18th. Still haven't signed up to join us? What are you waiting for? See Grayson Costigan or Mrs. Pyne for more details.

HIGH SCHOOL

  •         There will be a freshman class meeting after school today Monday, February 13 at 2:25. All freshmen are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held in room 249, Mr. Ferro's room.

ATHLETICS

  •         The Avon Girls Basketball team won 30-27over South Shore Christian Academy, Hanelie Cadet had 13 points while Maryssa Curto hii two big three's down the stretch for her six points. Avon is now 9-5 and has made the tournament for the first time since 2010
  •          The Boys Varsity Basketball team beat South Shore Christian 58-31 on senior night.  The Panthers took an early lead from Laz Fontes 10 points and never looked back.  Ryan Luddy chipped in 9 points, followed by Bradley Charles who had 5 points.
  •        Girls Varsity Away Game at Randolph, Monday February 13th at 4:00
  •         Boys JV Home Game Vs Blue Hills, Monday February 13th at 3:30
  •         Boys Varsity Home Game Vs Blue Hills, Monday February 13th at 5:00
  •         Fitness Center (weight room) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

MAIN OFFICE

  •          All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  •          Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus.
  •         Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
