Morning Announcements 2/7/2023

  •          Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Ms. Messina and Ms. Berardi.
  •          Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.

Attention Plunging Panthers: The Polar Plunge has been POSTPONED to Saturday, February 18th. Still haven't signed up to join us? What are you waiting for? See Grayson Costigan or Mrs. Pyne for more details.

HIGH SCHOOL

        Senior class will info is due by Feb 8th, seniors, check your email for more information

  •       The High School Club pictures will be taken on Tuesday, 2/7 and Wednesday, 2/8.  Please check your email for specific times.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

  •         The Middle School Student Council will meet this Friday Feb 10th after school with Ms. Conrad.
  •        This week, the Middle School Student Council should make every attempt to stay after with Ms. Conrad on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to finish our project for Valentine's Day.

ATHLETICS

  •        The Boys Varsity Team lost to Atlantis Charter 54-50. The Panthers were led by Sophomore Captain Jordan Mederios who had 16 points and Junior Josiah Gerrier with 15 points and 15 rebounds
  •        The middle school boys’ basketball team beat Calvary Chapel in a close game 61-59. Xavier Bell hit a game winning three as time expired off of a screen from Jaylen Pontes. Xavier Bell led the defense with 21 points, and leading the defensive charge for the Panthers were Thomas Ierardi and Jaylen Pontes with a combined 12 steals.
  •        Girls Varsity Practice 2:30-4:00
  •        Boys JV and Boys Varsity practice 4:00-5:30
  •        Cheer Practice 5:30-7:00

Fitness Center (weight room) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

MAIN OFFICE

        All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.

        Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus.

        Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and today it will be in the gym.
