Morning Announcements 2/8/2023

To all high school students: Students Advocating for Life Without Substance Abuse, or SALSA, is currently recruiting this year’s student leader. This is an opportunity to learn about substance use prevention, serve younger students at The Butler and gain plenty of community service hours. If you're interested in joining, or just want to know more about the SALSA program, ACES will be holding an information session Thursday afterschool in the library. Please email aces.avon@gmail.com if you have any questions.

  • Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Ms. Messina and Ms. Berardi.
  • Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.
  • Attention Plunging Panthers: The Polar Plunge has been POSTPONED to Saturday, February 18th. Still haven't signed up to join us? What are you waiting for? See Grayson Costigan or Mrs. Pyne for more details.

HIGH SCHOOL

  •         Senior class will info is due today Feb 8th, seniors, check your email for more information
  •         The High School Club pictures will be taken on today Wednesday, 2/8.  Please check your email for specific times.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

  •          The Middle School Student Council will meet this Friday Feb 10th after school with Ms. Conrad.
  •         This week, the Middle School Student Council should make every attempt to stay after with Ms. Conrad on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to finish our project for Valentine's Day.

ATHLETICS

  • Girls Varsity Away game at Bishop Connolly, today Wednesday February 8th at 5:00, bus leaves at 3:30
  • Boys JV Home Game Vs Bishop Connolly, today Wednesday February 8th at 3:30
  • Boys Varsity Home Game Vs Bishop Connolly, today Wednesday February 8th at 5:00
  • Fitness Center (weight room) will be open on Wednesdays ONLY from 2:15pm to 3:20pm. See Ms. Alves for permission slips.

MAIN OFFICE

  •        All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see  Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.
  •        Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus.
  •        Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and today it will be held in room 120.
