Morning Announcements 5/1/2023

Interested in winning a free Chick- fil-A meal? Help out the Team Rival Students, complete the online challenges and be among the first 50 students to complete both challenges to win a free meal. This will be happening in the library after school Monday through Thursday and in the conference room on Friday. Snacks will be handed out as you complete these challenges as well. However, Chick-fil-A will be distributed on May 12th. If you are interested, details can be found on flyers around the school. You can also find the directions on how to enter through the contacts of ACES or Mrs. Isidor.

Two Exciting Community Service Opportunities: 

Saturday, May 13th - Avon Town Clean- Up! - Join us Saturday May 13th, 8:30 am to 11:30 am for a town clean-up! Registration will be 8:30 - 9 am in the Mary McDermott room at town hall. Clean-up will be from 9 am to 11:30 am. Coffee and donuts will be available during registration and pizza will be provided after the event! All participants will have a chance to win 4 tickets to a Red Sox game!! For information, speak to NHS students, Jordan Mederios or Jason Maguire

Wednesday, May 17th, Banner for Boston Children's Hospital Join us after school on Wednesday, May 17th to help decorate a banner for the Boston Children's Hospital. Bring a friend! Get COMMUNITY SERVICE hours! Put a smile on a kid's face! Get creative!  This event will be held on Wednesday, May 17th after school in the library. For information, speak to NHS students, Stephanie Dawes or Savannah Roach. 

Art Club is hosting "Tie-Dye Camp" on Monday May 8th @ 2:15. Come add a bit of color to your closet! The cost is $5, and shirts will be for sale. Please register ASAP. Drinks will be provided. And make sure to tell your friends!

  •          Avon Middle High School now is offering after school tutoring! High School students will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Library with Ms. Messina and Ms. Berardi.
  •          Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 135 with Ms. Tyler and Mrs. Fuller.

HIGH SCHOOL

Are you thinking of bringing a guest? Underclassman or out of school friend to prom? If so, pick up your guest permission slip in the front office or with Ms. Francisco in room 120, Prom is May 12th.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

An Evening Under the Stars Semi Formal Dance for the 7th and 8th grade to be held on May 19th from 6-8:30 PM. Tickets are $20 and will be on sale during lunch starting on May 3rd and ending on May 12th. A form must be completed if you are inviting a guest outside of this school. It's the event of the year. A King, A Queen, Prince and Princess will be crowned at the dance, so make sure you attend. Any questions, see Ms. Conrad

ATHLETICS

  • Girls's Varsity Softball at Randolph High Monday, May 1st at 3:30, bus leaves at 2:15
  • Softball Practice 2:30-3:45 in the gym
  • Baseball Practice 3:45-5:00 in the gym

MAIN OFFICE

         All Emergency form packets should now be in the front office. If you have lost the packet, see Mrs. Cartwright or Ms. Bernardino for another copy.

         Charlie Card bus passes are now available in the front office, and can be used on the Bat Bus.

         Detention is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
